As Seth puts it, what are the benefits of refering? Does the customer think it will gain something out of it? Will there be blame if the referals turns out badly?
On top of making it easy for the consumer to share (by making it simple and easy to grasp), remembering this selfish aspect will keep your marketing strategies sharp.
